AI agent cost estimator

Use this page to name the first release of an AI agent before you ask for an estimate. It records the choices that change the work. It does not show a dollar figure or a delivery date.

Quick answer

An AI agent estimate follows the actions it may take, the systems it connects to, the review a person still does, and how you judge the result. SmartWeb AI Labs prepares a project-specific estimate after that scope is discussed. This page is not that estimate.

Scope summary

  • What may the first release do? Not selected
  • How many systems does it connect to? Not selected
  • Who approves a consequential action? Not selected
  • Do you have examples for evaluation? Not selected

No dollar figure is shown. Ask for a written estimate of this scope.

Request an estimate

How it works

  1. 1Describe the first release

Choose the actions, the systems, and whether a person approves a change to a record, a payment, or a customer message.

  2. 2Read the scope summary

The summary repeats those choices in one place. It does not turn them into a price.

  3. 3Request an estimate

Send the summary with your enquiry. A written proposal can price that scope after a discussion.

Why use it

Compare the same scope

Two proposals are easier to read when they name the same actions, systems, and review rules.

Keep running costs separate

Model usage, hosting, storage, monitoring, and time spent on exceptions continue after the build. Ask for them separately.

See what is still open

A choice left as “not decided” is a gap in the brief, not a hidden number.

What affects cost

  • Actions and permissions

Reading a record, drafting a message, and changing a system are different jobs.

  • Integrations

Each system needs access, a test account, and a plan for failure.

  • Review

Human approval adds a queue and a path for exceptions.

  • Evaluation

Real tasks, including ones the agent should refuse, come before calling a first release done.

  • Running the agent

Usage, hosting, and monitoring are not part of the build figure unless a proposal says so.

Glossary

First release
The one workflow you want to evaluate. Later actions stay outside that estimate until you add them.
Consequential action
A change to a record, a payment, or a customer message.
Human review
A person approves an action before it is sent or saved.
Running cost
Model and API usage, hosting, storage, monitoring, and time spent on exceptions after the build.

Questions

Does this estimator show a price?

No. The rates for this calculator are not published. The page lists the drivers and a scope summary, then asks you to request a written estimate.

Is the scope summary a quote?

No. It repeats the choices you selected. A quote is a proposal written after the workflow, the data, and the review rules are discussed.

What should we send with the enquiry?

The job, the systems involved, and the actions a person must still approve. Do not send confidential records through the public form.

Where is the longer explanation?

The AI agent development cost guide explains the same drivers in prose. It also does not publish a universal price, hourly rate, or delivery date.
